Healthy eating is often more complicated than trying to remember to eat 5 servings of fruits and vegetables each day.
For many people across Manitoba, eating healthy food means travelling far distances to the nearest grocery store, skipping the phone bill that month to pay for food, or using a food bank. March is Nutrition Month, a month to consider the importance of nutrition by challenging people across Canada to learn more about how nutrition impacts their lives and to celebrate and support healthy eating.
This Nutrition Month, Food Matters Manitoba will be sharing healthy recipes, exchanging nutrition advice, and talking about the ways that we can support all people across Manitoba so they can get the good food they need. But we can’t do this without your help. Remember to follow us on social media, share your nutrition tips, questions and ideas, and let us know what nutrition means to you. Together, we can enhance food literacy, encourage support for healthy food environments, and develop and sustain positive relationships between people, land, and food.
