The Our Food Our Health Our Culture project is all about creating environments where traditional and healthy foods are valued and accessible. As such, an important part of the project is supporting communities in reclaiming their traditional foods and incorporating them as an important part of a healthy, modern diet.
In partnership with Fox Lake, one of our OFHC sites, we’ve created a series of posters highlighting 5 of the most commonly eaten traditional foods in the area. The posters visually demonstrate that these traditional, wild foods are often healthier alternatives to the typical meat found in a northern grocery store.
